I'm Melissa Clough (pronounced "kluff" like "tough") and I'm super passionate about bringing the decades of training and amazing modalities I've discovered along my own path of healing to you.

After suffering many years with big feelings, self-sabotaging behaviors, lack of purpose, auto-immune issues, depression, anxiety, and divorce; I went on a quest to discover teachers and guides along the way who have helped me gain the tools to overcome these challenges that once seemed so unbearable, and step out in my life without fear to live an intentional life.

Now, as I honor all the teachers along my journey, I aim to bring these gifts to you, so that you can gain the deep understanding within you that you are ever-radiating light, that all the shadows of the past add dimension to your human experience; and that there is a future of purpose, freedom, and unconditional love for you, too.

As a psychologist with a master's degree in organizational psychology, a certified Master Trainer of NLP, Master Hypnotherapist, and a certified registered yoga teacher 500 with over a decade of experience; I bring elements of positive psychology, spiritual principles, yoga, and hypnosis to develop a deeper sense of self at the multi-dimensional levels of mind, body, energy, and spirit for a completely holistic approach to transformation.

What you can expect from a typical program with Melissa:

There really is no typical session, as every session is completely catered to your individual circumstances and needs. I customize each session specifically to your needs & desires. All of my techniques are delivered very methodically, and each session builds upon the work from the previous session. No two sessions will ever be exactly alike.  


Therefore, because transformation requires consistency, commitment, and progress, I offer the Complete Transformation 6-Week Program, which aims to breakthrough to the root cause of your issue and develop the tools you need to overcome any unwanted behaviors, at both a conscious and unconscious level, creating holistic healing from the inside-out. 

Here's How it Works:

We will meet remotely on a weekly basis for 60-90 minutes (the first session is 90 minutes and every subsequent session is one-hour) via Zoom. 

During each session, we may do verbal coaching with mental exercises, combined with somatic processes (movement therapy), and/or hypnotherapy (like guided meditation in deeply relaxed state), depending on what I feel is suitable based on your needs.

You will have required tasks to complete each week to enhance your progress. They may include journaling, yoga practice, listening to hypnosis, meditating, doing an act of kindness, or going for a meditation walk. It really all depends on what will be most beneficial to your progress.

What I expect from you:

In order to achieve your full result, and for both you and me to be successful, I request your commitment to at least 6 sessions and to attend weekly during the duration of your program. Sessions may be paid for at individual appointments, but there is a significantly discounted rate for booking the full 6 session program.

Your 100% commitment to step up your life and live the life you desire. Without your full desire to make massive changes in your life, you will not

achieve the your full results.

What is Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP)?

NLP IS THE STUDY OF SUCCESSFUL BEHAVIOR. IT INCORPORATES METHODS OF RETRAINING THE MIND IN ORDER TO PRODUCE CONSISTENT, DESIRED BEHAVIORAL RESULTS in your life. Neuro defines the mind, linguistic = language, and programming means retraining; hence, retraining the mind to communicate the most effective language towards ourselves and to others. It has also been coined, "the study of excellence." NLP processes can be used for success in health, relationships, business, and all other areas of your life. It is extremely effective at producing positive changes quickly and comfortably to match your specific needs, drive your personal growth, and enhance your role in any particular areas you'd like to address. NLP is a great way to help you delve deeper into the root cause of your issue, by guiding a series of specific questions, visualizations, or changes of perception. NLP techniques can be used alone on a conscious level, but can also be highly effective when combined with hypnosis to gain breakthrough changes and achieve your desired results.

What exactly is hypnosis?

If you could change consciously, you would, wouldn't you? However, if you are unable to make your desired changes consciously, then the unconscious mind may be running the show. Together, I will help you make positive changes at an unconscious level through the use of hypnosis. Hypnosis is a state of being in complete comfort and relaxation. It can best be described as "concentrated attention" and characterized by an awake-sleep state (also alpha or theta state). Hypnosis is usually experienced in trance, where a high level of change can be experienced at an unconscious level. During your session with Melissa, you are in complete control of your conscious state, just as you would be during meditation, or being in a state of high concentration. For example, have you ever been so engaged in an activity, such as being glued to a movie, enthralled in a book, or super focused in a sport or project, that you don't notice anything else around you? Hypnosis is no different. As you are guided to deepen your awareness of your unconscious mind, you will begin to lose involvement in your external surroundings. However, just as you can break your focus from any activity, you can also come out of hypnosis at any time you desire. Therefore, you are always in control of being in trance. The primary state of consciousness that is most referred to in hypnosis/hypnotherapy is the Alpha state. This is the state of mind where one is half-asleep, half-awake, and is in a state of deep relaxation or meditation. Once you allow yourself to enter an alpha state, your inner-talk will begin to slow down and you will begin to become more image-oriented, thus being guided to make positive changes in your life. In hypnosis, some may also experience the theta state, going into a very deep relaxation. Many people meditate for hours to get to this state of complete, and deep calmness of the mind. Many consider that being in the Gamma (higher brain activity in the consciousness revolved around perception) Theta state is a favorable state to produce instant healing. Scientific discoveries show that certain brain wave frequencies (especially the Alpha and Theta) may:

1. Relieve stress and promote a lasting and substantial reduction in people prone to anxiety states.
2. Facilitate a deep physical relaxation and mental clarity.
3. Increase verbal ability and performance IQ.
4. Better synchronize the two hemispheres of the brain.
5. Recall mental images and spontaneous imaginative/creative thinking.
6. Reduce pain, stimulate the release of endorphins, and promote euphoria. Clients often come to me once they have "tried it all" and are ready to seek change at an unconscious level. It's completely "normal" to be skeptical at first, especially being that you may have previously tried various methods to produce behavioral change that have not given you the results you wanted. However, you will most likely find that once you allow yourself to tap into your ability to enter this unique state of consciousness, you will open the door to countless possibilities for healing, self-exploration, and positive change.

Are there any issues you don't work with?

There are very few instances where I will not take on a client. These are: Clients who show very little commitment and do not complete their assignments. Severe Depression. Smokers who do not really want to quit. Those who have been forced to attend sessions with me by spouse or parent, who don't really want to change. Severe alcoholics and addicts.

What's the difference between success coaching and therapy?

Similarities between therapists and coaches: Both client and coach enter relationship with a goal to produce positive changes. Both professions are based on an ongoing, confidential, one-to-one relationship between client and professional. Both professions assume that significant change will occur over time. Differences between therapists and success coaches: Melissa Clough works with those who are: Eager to move to a higher level of thinking and functioning in the world. Seeking focus, strategy, and motivation. Asking "HOW" questions. Wanting more out of life. Designing their future. Learning new skills. Ready to take charge in their lives with massive and inspired action. Ready to take responsibility over their behaviors and mindsets. Seeking more balance in life. Why work with Melissa?

Why do I have to commit to 6 sessions?

Because consistency is key in retraining the mind, and each session builds upon the previous session's framework, a 6 session commitment is required, with weekly sessions. No more than 2 weeks between sessions is recommended. The length of time to achieve success varies by person. However, the average amount of sessions it usually takes for me to help my clients let go of issues is approximately 6 sessions. Any appointment scheduled after the 6 session program will be charged as a single discounted session.
